A Bend In The Road
A short film that I completed the score for last year, "A Bend In The Road", has recently had it's premier screening.
Directed by Rollo Wenlock and produced by Gemma Freeman (who are collectively known as Alpha Bristol Films) this is a focused and intense short story dealing with friendship, hero-worship, violence and bullying on a rural New Zealand road scape.
It was a great great pleasure to work on indeed. Rollo and Gemma are a very focused and talented pair of story tellers/film makers.
Perhaps my favourite moment, whilst working on the score, was when Rollo and I edited a piece of source music for the credit roller of the film by Campbell Kneale. I have always been a fan of Campbell's releases under his Birchville Cat Motel moniker and to be able to include his music in this film was an unexpected and last minute pleasure to cap off what was a really enjoyable experience working on a great film with fantastic people.
